ALBEDO is an immersive work that connects us with the cycle of death and life, the fungi kingdom, the phases of alchemical transmutation and the mysterious power that underlies creation.
An interdisciplinary proposal that seeks to reflect on the importance of ecosystems, the connections of the fungi kingdom, the ancient forests and their importance to counteract the devastating consequences of the imminent climate change.
Embodying the dead protagonist, the fungi will transform a new reality: the fungi kingdom now inhabit the Municipal pool and try to relate what follows this staging: 2,000 years have passed since the last human life. Climate catastrophe and violence have completely wiped out humanity, now the planet earth is inhabited by fungi, bacteria, plants and insects. they will create a new possibility of human life.
Throughout the show, a distiller is used on stage, an ancient alchemical artifact that allowed to separate the physical body from the soul of a plant: its essential oil. this elixir is offered to the public, generating an immersive and sensory link, and inviting them to learn about the hidden and ancient alchemical art and its transformative power.
